Port fees

Fees for users of the Port of Vancouver are set by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority?pursuant to Section 49 of the?Canada Marine Act. As for all Canada Port Authorities, fees are to be fair and reasonable, designed to ensure the port is competitive and port authority operations are financially self-sustaining.

Gateway Infrastructure Fee

The Gateway Infrastructure Fee enables us to recover from users associated costs of 17 infrastructure projects that have increased efficiency and productivity in the supply chain. Details are outlined in the current fee schedule.

Amendments

Fees are amended regularly to reflect changes in port use, in accordance with Section 49 of the Canada Marine Act. When a new fee is proposed, or a revision to an existing fee for wharfage, berthage or harbour dues is proposed, no less than 60 days’ notice is given. Other fees or terms may be amended or revoked without prior notice.
